Homeward Bound

Well this is it, in an hour I’ll be on my way to King Shaka Airport to begin my journey back to England. The past 24 hours have been incredible, yesterday the few of us remaining got a sky car up the Moses Mabhida Stadium. From the top you can see all the city of Durban, and te view to the sea is just as amazing. Once we waved off the final bus load, I went for a wander around the beachfront, also managed to find myself a South Africa Rugby shirt.

This morning I waved off The final two of the team. So this morning it was just me on my lonesome. Gave me a lot of time to think, so just got back from sitting at the end of the pier watching the world go by.

It’s been an absolutely tremendous trip, every moment just as brilliant as the last. God is really at work in South Africa and I can’t wait to tell you more about it when I’m home.

Blessings

Day 10 – Ushaka

Hey little ones!

So yesterday we had our final day off at Ushaka Water-world. Being just a 30 minute walk down the beachfront, we enjoyed a nice team walk down.

We spent the morning in the water-park, so lots of slides and splashing around. Matt even brought his Go-Pro camera so stay tuned for some great little videos.

In the afternoon we went to a dolphin show in the Ushaka Sea-World next door. One of the Soul Survivor lot even got picked to be a part of the show! There was also an aquarium we browsed through too before heading back to the hotel for dinner.

After dinner we got the group together and we prayed over situations we’re all going back too. Asking that God will continue to guide us as we go back to our homes, jobs and churches. Then came the emotional goodbyes, but still it feels like we will all see each other soon, especially as many of us will see each other at the summer festivals.

Today we are waving off the guys as they go for the flights, but for me it’s going to be a relaxed day in the sun (pushing 28 degrees today!)

See you all soon
